HEAVEN CALLS : Catholic Church leader, ArchBishop Alapati Lui Mataeliga

The passing of the Catholic Church leader, ArchBishop Alapati Lui Mataeliga, is being mourned this week with prayers at the Immaculate Cathedral, Mulivai .
The 70 year old leader Archbishop Mataeliga, passed away while seeking medical treatment in New Zealand last week.
His body arrived back in Samoa yesterday, 2 Tuesday 2023, at Faleolo International Airport.
Special afternoon Mass services by the faithful are scheduled for all of the days remaining of the week.
A special stop over Mass service at the Leauva’a Catholic Cathedral, started off the series of daily prayers by followers of the second largest religious faith in Samoa while the body was on the way to Apia,
The final funeral service is at the end of the week on Saturday before the body of the church leader. is laid to rest at his Malololelei Church residence
The Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa, will give a eulogy at the final funeral Mass for the ArchBishop who was born 4 January 1953 and died 25 April 2023 .
