The House Privileges and Ethics Committee report has recommended the suspension without pay of HRPP leader Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi and party secretary MP Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi.
The Committee tabled its report in Parliament this morning, open to for debate.
Opposition leader Fonotoe Lauofo Meti requested the debate on the report to be delayed to give time for the return of the party leader to speak on his defence.
Tuilaepa is on home isolation for COVID 19 security requirements on return from overseas travel.
The PM rejected the request arguing about the dignity of the House and was upheld by the Speaker.
Debate is now underway on the report with Parliament set to vote in the end on the recommendation by the Committee.
Government has the majority in Parliament when it comes to a vote.
