Last week the government leader declared that he opposes get rich pyramid schemes and distanced his government from cryptocurrency scams promoted by the BG Wealth Group.

However, this came only after the Central Bank of Samoa had already classified cryptocurrency as a dangerous get rich quick scheme.

Similar warnings had been issued by other central banks and regulatory agencies, including those in the United States.

It now becomes clear why the government wants to rush to amend the Central Bank Act.

The amendments will facilitate the setup of these illegal cryptocurrency investments in Samoa.

Is it a coincidence that in 2023 his Minister of Finance was photographed in Hong Kong with investors who were connected to a cryptocurrency based stock exchange.

Just a week ago, she and two cabinet colleagues were photographed hosting more cryptocurrency investors in their government offices.

Also last week, the PM delivered a powerful speech in support of the free press.

However, the Samoa Observer and many reporters are still barred from Government press conferences and other events.

In one week, Laauli made two statements that conflict with his ongoing actions.

Maybe someday he’ll speak in one tongue.

His supporters, both inside and outside Parliament, are also quickly catching up!

Many now realize just how dangerous a forked tongue can be.
