Hey ease up on the pedal people. Our money Minister has ‘advised’ that we’ll have to pay 5.6 sene more for every litre our car engine burns.
Unless there’s an oil well bubbling behind your backyard, lighten that foot on the pedal or your car engine is going to guzzle out of your pocket $2.21 sene for every litre of petrol it burns this month, October.
Now it’s only a few sene for some but when you’re penny pinching, they add up faster than you’d think.
Hands up all those who were laid off from work or forced to work for only a few hours.
If your hand is up then you’ll have to be counting every sene you have. Put the emphasises on …‘you have.’
Don’t know if it’ll make anyone happy but diesel prices are a few sene less than in Fiji, NZ and Australia.
There’s some relief if you’re into diesel. For this month of October it’s 2.3 sene less than before.
Kerosene is also down by a fraction of a sene – a fraction is better than none though.
When it comes to the pricing of these things, we have no say in how the Arabs price their oil except for one very important detail.
Footmobile. The Arabs can drown in their oil for all we care.
