Parliament Ethics Committee has recommended 3 months suspension for MP La’aulialemalietoa Leuatea Schmidt for disrespect of the integrity of the House.
The MP is also to be suspended on leave without pay with all allowances forfeited.
The Ethics’ Committee decision followed a special investigation into claims by the Gagaifomauga #3 MP that questions the honesty of a $300,000 generator for the new Tanumalala Prison.
The fate of the MP based on the Committee decision is being debated in the House.
