Gagaifomauga MP La’aulialemalietoa has resigned.
His resignation came in the middle of the House session this afternoon on the report by the Parliament Ethics Committee that he be suspended without pay and allowance.
MP La’auli decided he would step down for the remainder of the months left until the 2021 General elections rather than accept the 3 months suspension recommended by the Parliamentary Committee.
He stepped out of Parliament while the Prime Minister was called to respond.
