The Assistant Attorney General, Fuimaono Sefo Ainuu, is leaving the Office of the Attorney General.
He has tendered his resignation for personal reasons not made public.
Fuimaono was among the high profile lawyers, closely involved in the legal battles following the 2021 April general elections.
He was among the prominent legal counsels from the AG’s Office directly involved in court litigation over the extra seats for women MPs in Parliament.
Fuimaono has been with the Office of the Attorney General for about 15 years straight after he graduated law school from the University of the South Pacific.
