Outspoken opposition MP Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi is suspended for the next 24 hours from Parliament for making public comments on issues the Speaker had declared not open for members to express any opinion.
Speaker Papali’i said the MP made misleading comments in public into allegations raised against the FAST Government that came under Parliament inquiry.
The suspension of the Faleata No.3 Member of Parliament was put to the vote and carried by the Government dominated Parliament when it re-convened this morning.
MP Lealailepule was also denied attempts to comment in defence and was directed to leave.
