Eye catching, retractable stop gate behind the Government Building is cause for wonder.
The driveway has always been open. Maybe the fancy looking security gate is needed now. Why?
Has it got anything to do with this side of the Government building facing the seafront and the newly opened friendship park.
Are people roaming around the premises not friendly or too friendly to have these metal barriers in place?
Cars turning into the compound from the eastern side of the multi-storey, usually drive around the building through this side.
People in the cars are dropped off at the ground floor parking to catch the building elevators.
The car drives off again to take the turn around the western end of the building.
It then drives back on to the tar-sealed road running the length of the ground for access to the buildings from the main road.
The stop gate rolls across the driveway after working hours until morning when it is retracted again.
On the camera side of this photo is the newly build car shelter where all Government vehicles are safely parked for the night.
Yes, the ‘changes are a coming’ for the township and we can either move with the times or not.
People do that in a free world.
