The Tautua Samoa received an election boost on Friday with the official confirmation of a key candidate to run for the political party in the 2021 General Elections.
Chiefs and orators of Mulivai village nominated Leota Su’atele to run as a Tautua Samoa candidate for the Safata No.2 Electoral Constituency seat in Parliament.
“Our village is behind Leota Su’atele as our candidate for the General Elections,” village spokesman Laulu Taii informed the leader of the political party.
“Leota has served the Tautua Samoa for a long time and has the full 100 per cent support of our village and we wish him all the luck.”
Party president, Afualo Dr. Wood Salele, commended the village leaders for their trust in the Tautua Samoa Party.
He appealed for their continued support in the challenges that are ahead for the party.
Leota Su’atele is a former Member of Parliament for the Safata Electoral Constituency before new political boundaries divided the electorate into a Safata 1 and Safata 2 Constituencies.
His home village of Mulivai joins the villages of Nu’usuatia, Vaie’e, Fausaga, Fusi and Tafitoala under the Safata No 2. Electoral Constituency on the south side of Upolu.
