Wearing a face mask is common enough in public places these days it is no longer a surprise unless one or two stands out to catch the eye as different from all the others.
There have been a few as in the case of the pair pictured above caught by the roving camera of Newsline Samoa.
The photo of the woman with the white mask raised several eyebrows at the matching blend of white and green flower decorations on her church hat.
The general look was cheerful except for the serious eyes, lowered to the ground, as if weighing the personal impacts of the COVID 19 pandemic.
The facing gentleman with the flower design on his mask had a similar grim look with his covered head-wear and singlet with cut out sleeves.
The looks were fashionable but whether it was seriously intended to be so is another matter.
The break from the sad monotony of people moving about all masked up is a welcoming break from all the anxieties of the pandemic virus health risks.
