Last time we had a peek at the mutations of the pandemic virus we came across the monkeypox – but that is a totally new virus.
It’s not a variant from the COVID 19 virus but a different one altogether that is supposed to give people the ‘pox’.
Last we heard it was in Australia. Not sure if that should be comforting or not. The process of infection travels from there to New Zealand and then to us.
We’ll just have to wait and see.
The new pandemic variants that are coming out are starting to sound like University Degrees – BA.4 and BA.5.
At this point it’ll hardly be a surprise if the next variant mutations are given names like NUS.2 and NUS.3.
