Demand for our highly praised RSE workers could extend beyond the kiwis and the Aussies to the US and Canada. Well, it is a long-shot wish heard in Parliament last week.
Why not! Trump is no longer around and the building of his wall to keep immigrants out ran into Biden’s ‘ end of the road’ wall.
Our workers could show up the other immigrants working the American farms. It’s a long travel for our boys from Apia to Auckland before the 12 hours flight to Los Angeles to enter the US.
More hours to fly around the other states. By the time the traveling is done at least a week’s rest to recover is needed.
Just wonder if our boys will pick up on the American twang after their long stay – not that it matters anyway. Makes it more interesting to hear them talk.
Canada is interesting. There are Samoans there but it is such a big country it’s not like our boys will run into them at the market when they go shopping and eye the pretty women.
Still we should give it a try. So what if it’s a long shot. A shot is better than none.
