(l-r) ‘Sam’ (insert) with MP Lealailepule RImoni Aiafi
The resounding victory cry ….’aannnd stillll’ …is very likely to go full blast for the Government,’thorn-in-the-side’, opposition MP Lealailepule Rimoni Aiafi, at the new turn of events in the unsolved road death controversy at Vaitele.
It is his trademark roar of triumph that echoed defiantly for the first time, when he won re-election of his Faleata electoral seat early in his political career.
His election success defiantly booted into pieces the gleeful pre-election chant by opposition naysayers that he was finished.
MP Lealaileipule is currently off island on family commitments but it’s a sure bet he knows the police, at long last, have ‘Sam’.
He is a person always with a finger on the pulse so he should by now be up to speed already with everything.
Lealailepule has had all his 10 fingers keeping tabs on ‘Sam’ since the defamatory claims by the elusive character, alleged that the MP was the guilty driver of the unsolved hit-and-run road death at Vaitele.
Now that the police are finally able to line up Sam for questioning, Lealailepule is granted his 2-year old wish, since it all started.
It’ll be an interesting matter to ponder if the MP goes Tarzan with his patented victory cry‘…annddd stilll’…this early into the police questioning of the suspect.
Is it possible he is certain that all his hopes of clearing his good name are finally granted? Possible!
For those with doubts though “…aaannddd ssstttiiilll’….will have a different ring.
“….. thick, heavy-hanging cloud of political manipulation that has forced the issue to be dragged on this long, will ring in a new ‘round ‘…aannddd ssstttiiilll..’ keep it going until after the 2026 general elections, dear
