Manu Samoa proved a deserving champion when it fought back bravely to edge out rivals Flying Fijians 23-20 to hoist the Pacific Nations Rugby Cup high in Fiji yesterday.
The champions were 14 points behind at the half with a 3-18 scoreline in favour of the host side at Church Hill Park in Lautoka.
Fiji media could not believe how the Manu Samoa ‘defied the odds’ with a come from behind win to set them up as true champions.
