A total of 181 students graduated from The University of the South Pacific’s (USP), Samoa Campus today, Friday 30 May 2025.
Of the total graduates, 122 were females. The graduation session featured students from Samoa, Australia, Cook Islands, Kiribati, Fiji, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, United States of America and Vanuatu.
USP Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Pal Ahluwalia congratulated the graduands and said graduation marked a milestone in their journey of learning and personal growth.
He added that the graduates were part of a regional university network that was grounded in the values, traditions and aspirations of our diverse Pacific peoples.

“Today, you are equipped not just with degrees but with insight and the ability to draw on traditional knowledge systems and blend them with modern science and technology,” he said.
“You can lead conversations about sustainable development, climate resilience, and indigenous rights, not as outsiders, but as insiders. As those who live, breathe, and understand the Pacific way.”
“As you venture forward, hold onto the values that our university cherishes: integrity, inclusivity, and curiosity. Embrace opportunities to learn from those who are different from you, for it is in diversity that our most profound understandings and advancements emerge.”
The graduates are from the various disciplines in the School of Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Physics (STEMP), School of Business and Management (SBM) and School of Agriculture, Geography, Environment, Oceans and Natural Sciences (SAGEONS), School of Accounting, Finance and Economics (SAFE), School of Law and Social Sciences (SoLaSS), School of Pacific Arts, Communication and Education (SPACE), Pacific Technical and Further Education (PTAFE) and the Pacific Centre for Environmental and Sustainable Development (PACE-SD) under the Centre for Sustainable Futures (CSF).
