The former Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi and leader of the Human Rights Protection Party is poised to return home before the end of March 2022.
He is recovering well under medical observation in New Zealand for the past four-weeks and taking extra care to stay safe from the spread of the omicron virus.
Tuilaepa and his wife Gillian are home based in Auckland while undergoing specialised health tests.
“He’s got his health back but has to keep firm control on his many visitors to keep down the risks of catching the omicron virus,” his son Leasiosio Oscar told Newsline Samoa.
Among some of the well wishers he was recently pictured with is the former Labour MP from 2002–2010, Luamanuvao Winnie Laban.
The firm plan of return for Tuilaepa and his travelling party is set for the 29March 2022 around the same time Parliament is in session.
