STATELY AND SLEEK : A look from outside the fence at the lineup of new impressive looking vehicles lined up inside the Matautu-tai wharf.

Curiosity levels soared for visitors to the Matautu-tai domestic wharf at a lineup of brand new, white, land cruiser type cars normally reserved for visiting VIP officials, seen inside the wire fenced compound.

Newsline Samoa understands that these are some of the cars that will make up the official fleet for the Commonwealth Heads of Government, CHOGM, meeting in Apia in October.

A rushed count puts the number of this luxury, stately looking car model at 12 vehicles as they appear to be held up for now, inside the wharf compound.

It is likely that they are yet to be processed through the official customs clearance requirements for release.

It is unclear at this stage the total number of vehicles allocated to the full fleet for VIP use.

Still to be fully confirmed also is whether all of the member country leaders will be present in Samoa.

There are 56 member countries in CHOGM from Africa, Asia, Americas, Caribbean, Europe and Oceania where Samoa is located.
