A smile says it all. Basically, it portrays good, happy, contended moments. But believe it or not, some people do smile or try to, during unhappy times too.
So what else is new in this world of up, down and around, we live in. Life is either white for good and black for bad.
There are gray areas of course and that sums up the contradicting challenges of life we go through every day. Hey, we all know that too well.
A roving photographer surprised the happy, smiling faces out of the three distinguished ladies here, at the recent launching of the Samoa Green Port initiative by the Samoa Ports Authority.
The bursting smiles were like bright lights shinning much needed appreciation at all the goodness that must be enjoyed in life.
The joy of Christmas is a best example. We are about to celebrate the coming of Baby Jesus.
Is that not an occasion to blast out the big smiles and be joyful?
The three smiling faces seen here are by some of the executive decision making ladies in the public sector. Many rely on their leadership role for daily livelihood.
On the left is the Sensor Country Coordination Officer of the Asian Development Bank In Samoa, Tuala Maria Melei Tagiilima.
Next to her is the Ministry of Finance CEO, Saoleitiiti Maeva Betham Va’ai and Galumalemana Taatialeootiiti A.T. Schwalger, CEO of the Land Transport Authority.
If these ladies have any unhappy thoughts behind those glowing smiles it will probably be aimed at the sneaky photographer.
But why?
Merry Christmas Samoa.
