A young male rubbish collector died in Savaii this morning. Thursday 8th April 2021, when he was allegedly run over by the same truck he was working on.
The fatal accident reportedly occurred during the rubbish collecting morning run at Iva village, Savaii.
Eyewitness reports indicated that the deceased was off the truck to collect the rubbish when he was struck down.
He suffered head injuries.
Police is yet to give an official account of the accident.
