The sessions are open to both beginners and experienced performers.
BUTOH is a Japanese dance-theater art form characterized by slow dance moves.
Dancers often perform a visual language and self-expressions. This dance form had first emerged in the late 1950s in Japan.
The word “Butoh” simply means dance in the original Japanese, but the Group “Sankai juku” made the word established as signifying this particular art form throughout the world.
The Embassy of Japan sees this cultural initiative as a rare and meaningful opportunity that aims to deepen cultural exchange and foster artistic inspiration within the Samoan creative community.
The workshops will offer a supportive and inclusive environment where creativity, introspection and expressions are embraced.
The workshops will be held at the S.P.A.C.E Performing Arts Studio with a final performance to be held at NUS
