The new PSA House and Headquarter, is to officially open later this afternoon, Friday 18 July 2025, at Fugalei.
The association of public servants in a statement, declares the : ‘PSA House: A Beacon of Revival and Unity for Samoa’s Public Servants!
“The new PSA House at Fugalei stands as a significant landmark, indeed, a symbol of revival and unity among Samoa’s public servants,” the statement underlined.
“ It represents the long-overdue recognition and strengthening of a collective identity that has historically played a vital and influential role in shaping
Samoa’s political landscape. Over four decades ago, public servants through PSA were a powerful force of change.
They contributed to several transformative milestones, most notably, the transition of government from SNDP to HRPP, and advances in welfare benefits for the Samoan people.
Once served as a critical juncture and a vibrant symbol of strength, unity, and growth, the PSA House now serves as a beacon of hope and a pivotal milestone in restoring the stature and recognition of public servants in Samoa.

Its construction signifies more than just a physical space; it embodies a renewed commitment to public service, collaboration, and collective impact that can only be achieved through unity and solidarity.
Strategic Purpose and Objectives of the PSA House:
The PSA House is designed to support the long-term vision and operational goals of the Samoa Public Service Association (PSA). Its key objectives include:
- Headquarters Functionality:
Serving as the central hub for all PSA activities, the house will facilitate regular meetings, seminars, and workshops. This centralized location will promote collaboration, bonding, and effective communication among members.
- Day Care Center Operation:
The facility will include a day care center for children aged 0 to 3 or 5 years. This initiative, long-standing in the PSA’s workplan since the 1980s and 1990s, aims to provide essential support to public servants with young families, enabling them to better balance work and family life.
- Venue for External Events:
The house will be available for hire to external stakeholders for formal and informal meetings, workshops, and various public and private functions. This rental service will generate revenue for the PSA and foster community engagement.
- Membership ID Implementation:
The introduction of PSA membership IDs will enhance access to the building and premises, encouraging greater participation among public servants. This initiative aims to strengthen membership bonds and foster a sense of belonging within the PSA community.
Overall, the PSA House is envisioned as a multifunctional space that not only meets the current needs of the Association but also advances its mission to support public servants
