The Prisoners at Tanumalala are getting a break but this time it is a happy one unlike when they smashed their way out of confinement last March to give everyone a scare.
Their families can now visit them. The same break goes for the Savaii prisoners at Vaiaata.
Family prison visits were halted about 7 weeks ago on the 21 March with the emergency lockdown.
Permission must be asked first from the Ministry of Police to make that possible, All visitations are for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
Those who are held in custody to await court hearing are allowed to see their families on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Social distancing will be strictly enforced during the visits so there will be no hugging or touching.
Visitation starts next week on Monday.
