How often do you get to see the statue of Mother Mary and Joseph behind a pickup truck on the streets of urban Apia other than in a church?
Not every church either would display this statue.
A religious statue like this is also not always present in every church except one – the Roman Catholic Church.
Enter the Mulivai Cathedral or any Catholic place of worship and it is a guarantee there will be lots of statues.
Enter any of the other big churches that lined Beach Road and you will hardly find any.
It is a religious belief thing because all churches have their own teachings.
If you do get to see something like this on the road the people behind it are Catholics.
Whenever a statue of Mother Mary is involved, it is the Catholics.
But whatever church you follow their teachings lets all agree that it all ends with God.
We need His presence in Samoa now.
