Watching two officers chat away on a busy traffic location is hardly a head turning sight any more for the general public.
Maybe there will still be a few second or third glances when two patrolling police motor bikes are parked side by side.
The interest in what the officers are talking about may be a passing one also but it would still be worth knowing what the conversation is about – just normal curiousity.
What does appear to stand out in this busy, hectic scene of buses offloading or uploading passengers, is the harmony in the interaction of people and vehicles.
On duty traffic officers have a policing job to do, buses are there to provide transport for the traveling public.
There are rules of the road to follow and that is what the buses have to do. Traffic officers have to see the rules are kept.
As long as that harmony remains, life is great. It’s called ‘Road Harmony Agreement. There are similar agreements of harmony around too but they don’t always work in some areas.
Politics is one.
