….our promising young minds hanging out on the side of the busy road to our very own National University of Samoa, Le Papaigalagala Campus .
This is at the side of the campus gate entrance where the students are dropped off by the steady stream of public bus transport.
On the opposite side are a couple of shops where the students cross for fast food leading to a lot of back and forth movements in busy traffic.
The risks of getting run over are a worry and fortunately no serious traffic accidents yet.
The campus gate area serves at peak times as parking space for buses and taxies and it can be chaotic when the students spilled out on their way home after the lectures of the day.
For residents at Magiagi and To’omatagi who drive past the NUS gates everyday, it is added strain weaving through the congestion of students and parked vehicles.
Maybe it’s time a more safer set up be organised at the campus gates to avoid safety risks for the students in particular.
