Easter marks the holiest time in the Christian calendar as we celebrate the greatest love for humankind and the ultimate victory of Light over Darkness.
We bear witness to Jesus’ resistance of the Devil’s temptations during his 40 days and 40 nights in the desert, a time of preparation for the great mission for which God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity became man, and light to a world in darkness.
What was His Mission?
To redeem us from our sins and lead us to everlasting happiness in His heavenly kingdom.
Yet, Jesus was crucified on the cross – the greatest crime of deicide for which the offsprings of those who were responsible for this act have been condemned to this day.
In Samoa, it was fitting therefore that our electricity supply was restored during Holy Week.
We are indeed grateful to the staff of EPC who have worked tirelessly to keep the nation running.
May the righteous light of Easter burn strongly in our hearts as we conquer the temptations of the smooth-talking Devil’s promises of riches and power that is not his to give.
We must never ever normalize darkness in our beloved Nation!
