Police investigation into the death of a male in his mid 20s at the Lelata Bridge is still open but with no solid lead yet.

Deputy Police Commissioner Auapaau Logoitino Filipo is grateful however to public response in support of requests for any information to help with the investigation.

“All leads from the public have been followed with little success so far but we appreciate the support shown,” Auapaau was able to disclose.

It has been more than a month since the wounded body of the deceased was found under the busy bridge lying in blood.

Police is not ruling out foul play but will have to rely on an autopsy on the body to determine the real cause of death.

“It is difficult to tell from the wounds whether he was beaten up, fell or jumped off the bridge,” the deputy Commissioner added.

The body is at the TTM Hospital mortuary and may be a while before an available forensic pathologist who has to be brought in from overseas to determine the cause of death.
