BSP Samoa |In a momentous occasion for both the BSP Financial Group Limited and the Samoan community, the Group CEO, Mr Mark Robinson embarked on his first visit to Samoa. The BSP Financial Group Ltd CEO travelled to Samoa to attend the BSP board meeting which was held at Taumeasina Island Resort on Thursday 2nd November 2023.
The festivities kicked off on Wednesday, November 1 2023, with a traditional Samoan ava ceremony proudly hosted by the BSP Samoa staff at their main branch to welcome, Mr Mark Robinson and his good lady Lesley Robinson. The ceremony, steeped in the cultural heritage of Samoa, symbolizing the heartwarming hospitality and rich traditions that Samoa is renowned for.
During his visit, he seized the opportunity to engage with the Honorable Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mata’afa, senior government officials and key business partners emphasizing BSP Financial Group Limited’s dedication to collaborative efforts for local development.
A customer function was held on Thursday, 2nd November 2023, at the Taumeasina Island Resort for the Group CEO to meet with the business community. Distinguished attendees included senior government officials from the Samoan Government, prominent figures from the local business community, and the esteemed customers of BSP Samoa. The Honorable Prime Minister’s keynote speech was a pivotal moment during the event, emphasizing the significance of strong collaboration between international corporations like BSP Financial Group Limited and the Samoan government. This gathering served as a platform for fostering robust relationships and constructive dialogue between BSP Financial Group and the local stakeholders.
Notably, BSP Samoa reaffirmed its commitment to corporate social responsibility by making two noteworthy donations during the event. A generous $10,000 contribution was presented to the Samoa Cancer Society, a testament to BSP’s unwavering support for healthcare initiatives in the region. Papalii Sua John Ryan, CEO of Samoa Cancer Society accepted the donation. In addition, a $10,000 donation was allocated to Goshen Mental Health Services of Samoa, underlining BSP Samoa’s commitment to the critical cause of mental health support within the local community. The board chairman of the Goshen Mental Health Service of Samoa, Papalii Panoa Tavita Moala acknowledged and received the generous donation. The CEO’s inaugural visit to Samoa highlights BSP Financial Group’s dedication to establishing genuine connections and giving back to the communities it serves.
