The Office of the Regulator has a new logo to be identified with.
An official launching ceremony during the day unveiled the new identity for the State regulating body.

The Office of the Regulator (OOTR) is Samoa’s key authority overseeing the telecommunications, broadcasting, postal, and electricity sectors.
Established in 2006 under the Telecommunications Act 2005, its role expanded following the enactment of the Broadcasting, Postal Services, and Electricity Acts 2010, providing a comprehensive regulatory framework for these essential services.
Guided by its vision of “a connected, safe and secure Samoa,” OOTR’s mission is to engage with both consumers and industry stakeholders to improve the availability, accessibility, and affordability of services through the effective application of legal frameworks.

The Office operates through five key divisions within its 22-member structure:
1. Regulatory & Consumer Services – Manages compliance, market monitoring, anti-competitive issues, pricing, interconnection, and consumer complaints across all sectors.

2. Electricity Division – Handles licensing, tariff setting, technical standards, and regulation for the electricity sector.
3. Spectrum & Technical Services – Oversees spectrum use, interference management, equipment approvals, and numbering within the communications sector.
4. Corporate Services – Provides administrative, financial, and HR support for the Office.
5. Legal Division – Ensures legal compliance and offers legal guidance on all regulatory matters.
Together, these divisions support the OOTR’s commitment to fair, safe, and efficient regulation in Samoa’s public service sectors.
