The Human Rights Protection Party story and the leadership of the former Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi is now available to readers of the Samoan language.
The Samoan version of the book Le Palemia was launched last week after it was available in the English language only when the memoir was first release.
Tuilaepa said that the Le Palemia has been made available in the Samoan language because of the many expressed interests from the public in reading the book in Samoan.
The translation was done by Ms Ainslie So’o a former head of the Samoan language division at the Ministry of Education Sports and Culture.
Tuilaepa explained that the book Le Palemia was a result of an interest by an overseas writer Dr Peter Swayne to record the events and the developments which happened during the many years he was prime minister and leader of the HRPP.
“ This book is a record of every event which occurred when I was leader of the country,” Tuilaepa stated. “ It is a record of the HRPP as the government and my leadership. It included all the strong battles the HRPP fought while it was at the helm of Samoa.”
The book was compiled from interviews done in Samoa at Tuilaepa’s home after work and office and overseas when the former Prime Minister went on official trips.
Witnessing the launch held at the HRPP Headquarters at Sogi were members and supporters of the HRPP.
The book is available at the Samoa Stationary Book Shop at a cost of $69.
