‘Becoming Agents Of Change’ is the challenge Government lawyers are taking up in a conference that started today, Thursday 28 January 2021, at the Taumeasina Resort.

Former Attorney General, Tuatagaloa Aumua Ming Leung Wai, is the only private lawyer making presentation as one of four key speakers at the 2-day gathering.

Tuatagaloa is speaking on ‘Ethical Obligations of Government Lawyers’.

Attorney General, Savalenoa Mareva Betham Annandale, is drawing attention to the ‘State of Emergency and the Rule of Law’.

The Attorney General is a former State of Emergency Advisory Board Member.

Electoral Commissioner Faimalomatumua Mathew Lemisio plans to talk about ‘Playing by the rules to safeguard the integrity of the Electoral System.’

Faimalomatumua is faced with the enormous responsibility of organising the  General Elections  just over two months away next April.

Head of the Samoa Law Reform Commission, Teleiai Dr. Lalotoa Mulitalo, is contributing with a presentation on ‘Legal Pluralism – Samoa , 60 years on.’

The conference ends on Friday 29 January 2021.
