The special sitting of the Supreme Court to honour the passing of the late Justice Vaepule Vaemoa Alo Vaai, packed the courtroom chamber this morning at the Mulinu’u Court Building.

The Minister of Justice, Fa’aolesa Katopau Ainuu joined the huge turnout of the legal profession to make their final goodbyes to the departed judge and colleague.

The Ministry of Justice CEO, Ms. Molie Vaai and staff helped organise the farewell service attended by family members and friends of Justice Vaepule.

Justice Vui Clarence Nelson paid tribute to his late colleague on behalf of the judges of the court.

Attorney General Savalenoa Mareva Betham Annandale and President of the Samoa Law Society Leiataualesa Komisi Korea honoured the passing with tributes to Justice Vaepule.

The service was streamed live for family members and judiciary friends of the late judge who watched from outside Samoa.
