‘E le ole fale ae ole anofale e taua’!

Guess what!

This rallying call by our reigning Miss Samoa to find our next beauty queen for 2024 has fired up the Deputy Prime Minister.

But it’s not the human beauty of God’s creation in women that has him excited.

He got turned on by the setting up of the long awaited x-ray scanner to catch illegal goods shipped into the Matautu-tai wharf.

The man echoed the ‘anofale’ is more important than the ‘fale’ beauty call, at the official opening recently of the new building housing the scanner operations.

Nothing wrong with the analogy. Spot on. BUT!

How will our pretty ladies react to their natural God given inner human beauty, being compared to a man-made criminal catching scanning machinery, kept inside a closed building?

“…. beauty is in the eye of the beholder and our Deputy PM prefers x-ray scanners, dear.
