What’s with all these Cabinet Ministers making public apologies?  How come they’re all to do with boats?

One dropped off his high chair after saying the American Samoa boat that allegedly entered local waters illegally was not a pleasure boat after claiming at first it was.

What’s a pleasure boat?   What delights are offered on deck to pleasure travellers ?

The boat is suspected of smuggling goods from across our American cuzzies. If that’s true since when was smuggling a pleasure?

If it’s true that highly placed figures were involved then when were they allowed that pleasure? When will the same pleasure be extended to us the ordinary folks?

The second apology was when one of the ferries was held up at the Salelologa Wharf for hours waiting for a group of Chinese visitors on a sightseeing tour of the big island.

By the time it arrived at Mulifanua Wharf, buses were no longer running-the working day had long ended.

The only buses at the wharf were for the touring Chinese visitors who simply hopped on for the ride to Apia.  The local folks were left to thumb a ride home in the dark.

Have to feel sorry for our Chinese visitors. It was not their fault the boat was delayed.  Whoever organised the tour was more intent on impressing them rather than give any thought to the poor souls waiting on the boat.

If the apologetic Minister had nothing to do with the boat delay or the Chinese tour what was the point of the apology?

“……which  Cabinet Minister is next on the apology boat, dear?
