Walked into a bottle shop as the woman cashier sat listening intently to a young lady talking excitedly. Hands were waving all over the place while holding a calculator in one.
“We need 6 more to fill up the pot,” the animated talker danced on her feet unable to sit still.
Her eyes were darting everywhere as if checking out the people in the shop she could drag in to make up the missing numbers.
Why was she acting so wildly like she was high on something?
The question was obvious for the surprised people who watched the live wire performance.
Suddenly it clicked. This lady must be into this ‘pyramid scheme’. But it’s supposed to be hush hushed with repeated public warnings that it is illegal.
For those unfamiliar with how the scheme works, it was puzzling to see the excited scene this lady was making.
Why was she appearing desperate to fill the pot? What pot? Why do you need people to fill the pot? If or when you do what is in it for you?
The people who play this ‘pyramid scheme’ would know for sure. Surely there must be big money in it for this lady to act all funny and weird about it.
“….. how about losing your lifetime savings, dear?
