The media’s attention will be in high demand tomorrow, Friday 4 Nov. with the PM and the former PM in a race to tell them their side of the story.
It’s about a ‘palagi’ and his excavator machinery.
The tired and angry ‘palagi’ is crying to the court, after a long wait for payment, from the sale of his excavator machinery.
A ‘senior’ Cabinet Minister allegedly bought the expensive equipment and has paid only a very small fraction of the cost.
The ‘palagi’ waited and waited…. and still nothing.
He found out only recently that the Cabinet Minister has sold his excavator to someone else.
After racing off to the court to complain the ‘palagi’ is finding himself suddenly under threat of being deported from Samoa.
It’s all out in the public now. Former PM Tuilaepa is calling the deportation threat a shameful abuse of power.
He wanted to follow it up with the local media, so he invited them to a press conference at his Petesa office 11.00am tomorrow morning.
About an hour since his media invitation went out, the PM fired off an invitation for her press conference.
She has scheduled it for the same time in the morning at 11.00am.
Tuilaepa “…out of respect for the PM’, has re-scheduled his for the afternoon at 1.30pm.
Here we go!
“Corners out”.
Ting! Ting!
“…..are you sure they’re still using boxing gloves, dear?
