Savai’i here we come. The excitement of travel to the big island for the Easter long weekend is not surprising.
Nobody complains while sailing off on holiday.
When you’re a Savai’i born and bred it’s a home trip and that says it all. Time to catch up with the joys of being with family and the fun of the familiar village atmosphere and surroundings.
The added fun is running into people you haven’t seen or talk to for a long while. Getting back into the real Samoan cooked food is a scrumptious bonus.
Size 2 anyone?
But every good thing has to end sometime. For the holiday crowd it comes after next Monday.
This time it is the despairing groans of surrender that echoes forlornly instead of excited squeals at the start.
Catching the boat back to Apia is a return to hell which to many is the swear word for work.
Sorry folks but them are the rules – OF LIFE.
“…..will there be any in our next life, dear?
