Everyone was in a ‘lovey dovey’ mood during the week. Matters of the heart always do that when it’s to do with Valentine’s Day.
The extreme point is when Cupid comes around and starts shooting ‘them hearts’ with his arrows.
The worst ones of his shot victims are the older folks – couples who have ‘tied the knot’ for years.
Question is whether it’s all to do with love or does survival relief at staying tied up in a knot for another year has a part in it too?
“Hey look at us we’re still knotted” is indeed something to celebrate in the spirit of Valentine.
All the challenges of new changes and new attractive looks can be tough.
The youngsters have a different set of emotions to wrestle with that the old folks brushed aside easily with a knowing laugh.
“Hey, been there done that.”
