The safety threat of those two internet link towers around the Vaivase and Maagiagi areas came close to giving the HRPP House leader the boot last week.
Lauofo was arguing over the safety of flights to the Fagali’i Airport with the Minister Of Communications when the Minister of Works joined.
The two ministers were pressured to assure the towers posed little threat to safety. It didn’t sell with Lauofo who insisted pilots of small aircrafts are scared of flying the area because of the jutting towers.
In the end the two ministers did concede they will look into it.
But by then the Speaker’s tongue was hanging out trying to bring the debate to order.
He picked on Lauofo as the villain so he went crying to the PM for a motion to give the annoying leader of the opposition an undignified departure from the House.
“But we have only 5 minutes left to go before we break off for the day Mr. Speaker, there’s no point sending him off now,” the PM pleaded suggesting he will turn up again for the next day’s session.
“Ok!’.. the Speaker cried.
