How about that headline Manu Samoa fans!
If you want to know what ‘a negative spin’ is in contrast to ‘a positive spin’, this is it.
This is how the British media headlined the Rugby World Cup qualification match decider Samoa vs Belgium drew 13-all this morning.
Samoa claimed the final spot in the 2027 Rugby Cup from the drawn score based on the final points tally from the pool round.

The British Telegraph came out with the belittling headline to spotlight how Samoa kept Belgium out of making rugby history.
The European nation is a pillar in the soccer world with the appeal on rugby still a long way off.
Of course claiming a spot in the upcoming World Rugby Cup is sporting history for the soccer playing nation.
But in any sport, win, lose or draw, it is all part of the spirit of sportsmanship.
Why would anyone/nation be humiliated as the headline suggested for Samoa, when it kept Belgium out of the World Cup?
…….it’s from the shameful lack of good sportsmanship, dear
