End of the road for our ‘brand new’ police Patrol Boat NAFANUA II and that is the hard truth.
Talk and point blaming fingers all day while the hens lay eggs and it’ll get us nothing, even long after all the mother hens lead out their newly hatched chicklets.
Continue down that line of blame shifting and our EEZ will be cleaned out of any fish and other marine resources by the time we get a new boat.
We just trashed 30m tala of donor money into the poor, innocent corals of the Salelologa reef. We don’t have that kind of money in our budget to whistle in a new boat on the snap.
Time for Government to put on the sad, puppy face and try to win back the hearts of the donor community to fund us a NAFANUA III.
Do it for real and not the election type of sweet talk that must be largely to blame for our poor boat’s crash ending.
‘Fool one fool two fool three’ and it’ll be the butt end we kiss and kiss and kiss…..
“….not all fools are fools, is that it, dear?
