Maybe the next time the DPM wants to wish the Manu boys luck, better to leave it after the end of the game.

He could save himself the angry fallout of maniacal team fans thrashing around for something or someone to blame for their rugby heroes defeat.

Raging anger does that to fanatics like our Manu Samoa fan base here at home and out there in the bigger rugby world.

After they’ve dissected everyone in the team from the coach to the boot cleaners for the loss, and with all that violent aggression still burning up inside, they start looking around for more targets.

Unfortunately, for the DPM and his intentions to fire up the Manu boys, all were forgotten as the radicals went into a head bashing stampede after the loss to Japan.

Not much of a surprise really.  Samoans are overly passionate about their rugby and the Manu Samoa is the flag ship.

A ‘faifeau’ once applauded a memorable Manu Samoa win at the Apia Park on Saturday, for the singing in his church the next day.

“I’ve never heard them sing in voices the angels will envy in Heaven,” the bewildered ‘faifeau’ confessed.

“….. after the Japan loss, did the singing rival those of the angry roasting souls in hell, dear?
