All that earlier talk of a forensic audit on the Government of former PM Tuilaepa are starting to sound as if it is making an about turn.
This time the attention seems to have switched to PM Fiame’s Ministers of Cabinet.
The growing scandal of the illegal border crossing by the American Samoa boat Kite Runner is getting a lot of people worked up.
Simmering public interests in other recent controversies are given a prodding kick as if to say “…hey people we have another one.”
When you have 3 Cabinet Ministers alleged to be the masterminds behind the illegal run, that is certainly enough to get those nudging feet swinging.
An American Samoa recommendation of legal action against 3 people in the territory involved with the illegal boat trip is fanning the flame of suspicion much higher here in Apia.
All this new forensic audit talk starting up, appears to be suggesting, maybe that should re-directed at the Ministers allegedly behind the illegal border crossing.
The audit should then expand to include all the other questionable issues like the Hong Kong Stock Market, Chinese chartered flights with joint local and foreign investors company shareholdings, illegal gun shipments and perhaps more.
