After all the time, effort and money to promote our Beautiful Samoa, empty Vailima beer cans scattered around our picturesque Mulinu’u Peninsula, is not a very encouraging sight.
Were the people involved Samoans? If they were, do they have anything against a ‘Beautiful Samoa’?
Is it a country to be proud of or not? If it is, then is this irresponsible action one to be proud of?
If you’re truly a proud Samoan, give it a serious, mature thought.
Do it before you chuck out one too many empty beer cans on the well kept lawn others visit and appreciate in this part of Beautiful Samoa.
It is also quite touching to honour and show deserving respect to some of our paramount chiefs resting in peace at nearby tombs, on what has become hallowed grounds at the very tip of the Mulinu’u peninsula.
Beautiful Samoa is not a responsibility for someone else. You have a role in it too.
Make it a more responsible one so you and all of us can be proud of our beautiful country Samoa.
