A new stream of events is going to be added this week to our never ending political showdown.
This time politics have fired up our women folks to march unhappily to the Tiafau Malae at Mulinu’u to stand in the middle of the grass lawn as the sun starts to slip into the far horizon.
Instead of someone switching the bright lights on them, as one offensive prominent political figure wanted, the women are using candle –lights to see or be seen in the dark.
There will be men with them but instead of doing what they want with the women, they will come together and join them in prayer.
Interesting twist from what it was suggested for the men to have their way with the supposedly helpless ladies.
After Monday maybe the UN will then sing a happier tune in praise of Samoa rather than call for us to respect our womenfolks.
Now that’s a much better turn of events. The question is whether it will help untangle all those political fighting horns jutting up all over the place.
At least we can breath easy that the men are there to pray with the women not have their way with them. Lets all keep the faith in Heavenly goodness.
