New Chief Executive Officers, CEOs, are appointed for the recently established Ministry of Lands and Survey and Ministry of Sports and Recreation.
Ulugia Mr. Petelo Kavesi takes over as the new CEO for the Ministry of Lands and Survey.
The Ministry of Sports and Recreation will be under Luatua Mr. Semiperive Epati.
Both appointments were confirmed in the regular Wednesday weekly meeting of Cabinet.
Lands and Survey CEO Ulugia holds two Masters degrees from the University of the South Pacific, Fiji, in Business Administration, (MBA) in 2007 and his first Masters of Arts in Development Studies in 1997.
Ulugia started his public service career of 28 years as a Research Assistant with the USP Alafua Campus.
For the next 24 years, he served as Manager Research & Statistics with the Samoa Tourism Authority, Administration Manager with the Accident Compensation Board and SLC General Manager since 2016 .
The Ministry of Sports and Recreation CEO, Luatua Mr. Semiperive Epati, is a seasoned sports administrator, with 27 years of experience as Assistant CEO with the former Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture.
He holds a Bachelor in Physical Education and Sports from Jiwaji University based in Gwalior India.
