Motorists can enjoy some safety relief at the tree trimming work this week on an overgrown ‘pulu tree’ with large overhanging branches on the busy section of the Fugalei Road.
Men were seen busy with chainsaws doing much needed trimming work at the side of the road on the big tree.
The soft ground from the ongoing series of recent flooding was of concern to the traveling public at the risks of the tree overturning onto the road.
The Fugalei Road is one of the worst affected in the heavy flooding of recent weeks.
The area is one of the main commercial sections in urban Apia, alongside the heavily congested centre of the business community from Taufusi, Saleufi up to the Beach Road town front.
