BSP Samoa proudly announces its continued support of youth rugby in Samoa by sponsoring the Schools National 7s Championships. . “Rugby is a vital part of Samoa’s culture and identity, especially in Savaii where it holds a special place in the hearts of many,” says Jennifer Fruean, Country Manager of BSP Samoa . She added, “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with the National Schools 7s Rugby Championship and support these young athletes as they strive for excellence on and off the field.”
BSP’s sponsorship includes a cash contribution of $15,700 and additional in-kind support valued up to $3,500. This sponsorship follows BSP’s support of the National Schools 15s Rugby Championships, demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to fostering young talent and promoting sportsmanship within the community.
The championships which has shifted from Upolu to Savaii is currently taking place today, 6th June with the finals scheduled for Friday 7th June, followed by a prize-giving ceremony. The decision to host the tournament in Savaii marks a significant shift, reflecting the island’s growing popularity and the enthusiastic local support for school rugby.
