The reign of a new Faumuina is official
The bestowal of the paramount title Faumuina on new holder Mr. Opapo Oeti went ahead as scheduled early this morning at the Lepea Village Malae.
Faumuina was hoisted onto the shoulders of the village men and carried off after the title was officially bestowed in keeping with the tradition of heralding a new leader referred to in salutations as the ‘Tupufia.’
